1. Overview
This policy explains how changes, cancellations, and refunds work for bookings made through BargainAirTicket (Bookmecheapest LLC). It supplements our Terms and Conditions and should be read together with them.
2. Fare & Supplier Rules Govern
Before you complete a booking, your agent will explain the fare type you're purchasing and its change/cancellation conditions, including whether it is refundable, partially refundable, or non-refundable, and whether a change fee applies. It is your responsibility to confirm you understand and accept these conditions before paying.
3. Changing a Booking
To change a booking — dates, routing, or traveler details — call our booking desk. Any change is subject to: (a) availability on the new dates/flights, (b) any fare difference between your original ticket and the new fare, (c) the airline or supplier's own change fee, if any, and (d) our service fee for processing the change, if applicable, which will be disclosed before you agree to proceed.
4. Cancelling a Booking
To cancel a booking, call our booking desk as soon as possible — many fare rules become less favorable, or refund eligibility disappears, closer to your travel date. Whether you receive a refund, a future travel credit, or nothing back depends entirely on the fare rules of the ticket you purchased.
- Refundable fares are refunded to your original payment method, minus any applicable service fee, once the airline or supplier processes the refund.
- Non-refundable fares typically do not return cash but may leave a travel credit with the airline, subject to that airline's own credit policy and any reissue fee.
- 24-hour cancellation: for bookings originating in the United States, U.S. Department of Transportation rules generally allow a full refund if you cancel within 24 hours of booking, provided the booking was made at least 7 days before departure. We honor this rule where it applies.
5. Our Service Fees
Service fees we charge for booking, changing, or cancelling travel are separate from the airline or supplier's own fare and fees. Our service fees are generally non-refundable once the service has been performed (for example, once we've completed a booking or a change on your behalf), regardless of whether you later cancel the underlying travel, except where required by law.
6. Refund Processing Time
Once a refund is approved by the airline or supplier, it is typically credited back to your original payment method within 7–20 business days, though timing is ultimately controlled by the airline or supplier's own processing, and can occasionally take longer. We will let you know if we're aware of a longer expected timeline for your specific refund.
7. Airline or Supplier-Initiated Changes
If an airline, hotel, or other supplier cancels or significantly changes your itinerary (for example, a schedule change or flight cancellation on their end), we will help you understand your options — rebooking, a refund, or a travel credit — as made available by that airline or supplier's own policy. We do not control, and are not liable for, an airline or supplier's decision to cancel or change a flight, route, or reservation.
8. Travel Insurance
Because many fares are non-refundable or carry change fees, we recommend considering travel insurance at the time of booking to protect against trip interruptions, medical emergencies, or unforeseen cancellations. Your agent can discuss available options at the time you book.
9. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
If you believe you were charged in error, please contact us first at helpdesk@bargainairticket.com so we can investigate and resolve the issue directly — this is almost always faster than a bank chargeback process. Filing a chargeback for services that were properly disclosed and delivered, without first contacting us, may delay resolution and does not cancel any underlying non-refundable airline ticket.
