    The essentials. Availability and price depend on your fare, route, aircraft and timing.

    Free seat selection depends on the fare:

    Economy Full includes free seat selection; Economy Classic and Basic often charge for advance seats, and Economy Basic may assign your seat only at check-in. The higher fares give you the most say.

    Preferred and extra-legroom seats:

    Copa offers preferred seats — near the front or with more legroom — for a premium on most economy fares. They're limited and go first on busy flights, especially long South America runs.

    Sitting together takes planning:

    Travelling as a family or group? Select seats as early as you can. On full Panama-connection flights the best adjacent seats disappear quickly.

    Moving up to Business:

    You may buy Business at booking, take an upgrade offer before departure, or use ConnectMiles where available. Business Promo is a lighter way in; Business Full is fully flexible.

    ConnectMiles status helps:

    ConnectMiles elite status get better seat access and upgrade opportunities. Add your number so any benefit is applied to your reservation.
