    How GOL check-in generally works

    General timings and documents. Exact windows depend on the airport and on entry requirements for international travel.

    GOL check-in on voegol.com.br and the GOL app is the easiest way and usually gives the best remaining seats. Have your reservation code ready.

    Brazilian ID for domestic flights:

    Brazilian travellers 18+ need valid photo ID: an RG, passport, or driver licence, the physical card or the CNH-e app version, though screenshots are not accepted. Old, laminated or damaged IDs are rejected.

    Children and minors:

    Documents for international travel:

    Mercosur citizens (Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, Venezuela, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru) may use an original ID card or passport; other foreigners need a passport or a Brazilian immigration document such as a CRNM, CIE or RNE. Check entry and visa rules for your destination well ahead.

    Boarding closes firmly:

    GOL closes boarding before departure, and international departures need extra time for document checks. Arrive earlier than you would for a short domestic hop.

    Documents that get people stopped

    Brazil is specific, the wrong document is a common counter refusal.

    • Valid photo ID: RG, passport, or driver licence (physical or CNH-e app)
    • No screenshots of the CNH-e, the live app version only
    • No old, laminated or damaged IDs, they're rejected
    • A child needs a birth certificate along with their ID
