Flying with a pet on GOL

GOL does not accept pets to or from the United States, Europe, or Fernando de Noronha, in the cabin or the hold. For those destinations the only path is GOL's GOLLOG cargo service, arranged separately, so if your trip touches any of them, plan around it before you book.

GOL's Dog&Cat Cabin option carries a dog or cat up to 12 kg total, pet plus carrier, booked with the ticket or later through My Reservations. Spaces are limited and must be arranged in advance.

The 30 kg Dog&Cat+Space cabin tier is currently suspended, so a larger animal travels through GOLLOG Animais cargo, which takes all species with no weight limit and must be booked by phone at least 48 hours ahead.

GOL accepts certified guide or hearing service dogs, which travel free in the cabin. It does not accept emotional-support animals at all. If you were counting on an ESA, that animal would travel as a regular pet where allowed, or not at all on banned routes.

Domestic travel needs a sanitary health certificate (valid 10 days) plus a vaccination card, and the rabies vaccine is mandatory from three months of age, the first dose needs 30 days before travel and is valid a year, boosters don't need the 30-day wait. An optional lifetime Pet Passport can substitute for the certificate on domestic flights.
