How GOL changes & cancellations generally work
The rules in plain language. Your exact fare and how the ticket was issued decide, we'll confirm both on the call.
Flex is the flexible one, fully refundable with no change fee; Classic and Light sit in the middle and are non-refundable when you cancel by choice; Basic is the tightest. Knowing your fare is the first step.
GOL's Light and Classic fares generally give nothing back if you cancel by choice, and a date change means a change fee plus any difference in fare. Before you write a ticket off, let us read your exact conditions.
Flex is fully refundable with no change fee, on domestic and international routes. If flexibility matters and you're not yet booked, it's worth pricing before you buy.
Under Brazil's consumer-law regret rule, cancelling within 24 hours of purchase gives a full fee-free refund, provided you bought at least seven days before departure. Timing is strict, so tell us quickly if you just booked.
When your fare allows a change, you'll pay any difference in fare if the new flight costs more, plus the change fee your fare carries. Flex carries the fewest restrictions.
When the disruption is GOL's, a cancellation or a big schedule change, you're generally entitled to a rebooking or a refund, even on a restricted fare. GOL's own delay policy is spelled out on our delays guide.
Change and cancellation conditions depend on your fare, route and how the ticket was issued, and GOL overhauled these rules for tickets issued from October 2025. We never publish amounts because yours is specific to your ticket, an agent quotes the exact figure, and our service fee, before anything is charged. GOL fares and how easily they flex
Where your ticket sits on the ladder decides how much it can move. Higher = more flexible.
