Is your Wingo flight delayed or cancelled?

A delayed or cancelled Wingo flight is stressful, and because Wingo is point-to-point, a single cancellation can mean a real wait on a thin route. Your rights on a Colombia-origin flight come from Aerocivil's RAC 3 passenger-protection rules, which Wingo publishes on its own site, and an airline-caused disruption gives you a free rebooking or a voucher. Tell us what's happening and a live agent works the fix with you, fast.

What you're owed when Wingo disrupts you

Your statutory rights depend on where you departed from; Colombia is Aerocivil RAC 3, Panama has its own authority. Our delays-and-rebooking guide goes deeper.

    Rebooking or a voucher:

When Wingo cancels or significantly disrupts your flight, you're entitled to a free rebooking within 10 days or a voucher refund (valid one year). That's a real entitlement under Colombia's rules, and it's separate from your fare's own change terms.

Your rights come from Aerocivil (Colombia):

For a Colombia-origin flight, Wingo publishes Colombia's Aerocivil RAC 3 passenger-protection text directly on its site, the duty to inform passengers of delays, cancellations and diversions, and to run a passenger-service desk ("Sistema de Atención al Viajero") at every airport, staffed from one hour before the first flight to one hour after the last.

    Panama departures follow Panama's rules:

If your flight departs Panama City rather than Colombia, Colombia's Aerocivil rules do not govern it, Panama's own civil-aviation and consumer authority does. The protections can differ, so it matters which country you flew from.

    Point-to-point means fewer fallbacks:

Because Wingo doesn't operate connections and runs a thinner network, a cancelled flight may not have a same-day replacement. For a hard deadline, that risk is real, so build in buffer or keep everything on one Wingo ticket rather than a tight self-connection.

    Keep records, and move fast:

Note the delay, keep any receipts, and use the airport passenger-service desk. And call us the moment you know, the sooner we act, the better your rebooking options while seats last.

Your entitlements depend on the cause, the disruption and the country you depart from, and airlines and regulators change these rules. We confirm what applies and never guarantee an amount; the airline and the statute set that. Our delays-and-rebooking guide covers Wingo and the Aerocivil floor in full.

Your rights when Wingo disrupts you

Colombia is Aerocivil RAC 3; Panama has its own authority.

    Airline-caused cancellation
Free rebooking within 10 days or a voucher
    The voucher
Valid one year, issued in 3 to 5 business days
    At the airport
A passenger-service desk, 1h before the first flight to 1h after the last
    Meal / hotel thresholds
Not published hour-by-hour by Wingo; ask at the desk, keep receipts
    Panama-origin flights
    Panama's authority, not Aerocivil, governs
    Point-to-point
No connections, so a cancel may mean a wait on a thin route

Point-to-point cuts both ways in a disruption. Because Wingo doesn't sell connections and flies a thinner network, a cancelled flight may not have a same-day replacement, which is risky if you have a hard deadline. Keep everything on one Wingo ticket, keep any receipts, and call us the moment it happens so we can grab the next real option before it fills.

    Frequently asked

Wingo cancelled my flight, what am I entitled to?+
Under Colombia's Aerocivil rules, an airline-caused cancellation or significant disruption entitles you to a free rebooking within 10 days or a voucher refund valid for one year. Decline the rebooking if you want the voucher. Because Wingo is point-to-point, the next flight may not be same-day on a thin route, so tell us quickly and we'll find the fastest option.
Does Wingo pay for a hotel or meals during a long delay?+
Wingo publishes Colombia's Aerocivil RAC 3 passenger-protection framework, including a passenger-service desk at every airport, but it does not publish its own hour-by-hour meal or hotel thresholds the way some carriers do. So confirm what's offered at the desk and keep any receipts. We'll help you press the claim through the right channel.
Does it matter whether I flew from Colombia or Panama?+
Yes. A Colombia-origin flight is governed by Aerocivil's RAC 3 rules, which Wingo reproduces on its site. A Panama-origin flight falls under Panama's own aviation and consumer authority instead, and the protections can differ. We'll confirm which rulebook applies to your specific flight.
My Wingo flight was cancelled and I have a deadline, what now?+
Move immediately. Wingo is point-to-point with a thinner network, so the next available flight may not be the same day, which is risky for a cruise, wedding or court date. Call us right away; we'll take the rebooking or voucher, check the route's frequency, and find the fastest way to get you there.
