How Wingo changes & cancellations generally work
The rules in plain language. Your GO fare decides almost everything, so we'll confirm it on the call.
Unlike most carriers, Wingo's tickets are promotional and it does not apply Colombia's withdrawal right, so there is no free 24-hour cancellation window. Buying and changing your mind an hour later does not get your money back. Know this before you book, especially on a non-flexible fare.
GO Basic cannot be changed at all. GO Standard and GO Plus include Flex-1, one free date change if made more than 15 days out, otherwise a fee plus fare difference. GO Extra includes WingoFlex, unlimited changes up to 24 hours before departure, with the fare difference still due.
Voluntary changes, where your fare allows them, can be made through Mi Reserva up to 4 hours before the flight. After that window, a same-day change becomes very hard, so don't leave it late.
If you simply don't show, the ticket is generally lost. If plans change, act inside your fare's change window rather than skipping the flight.
One name change is allowed per booking, for a fee, and it must be done at least 5 days before departure. Tickets are not transferable to another person, so a wrong name is best fixed early.
When the disruption is Wingo's, you're entitled to a free rebooking within 10 days or a voucher refund, under Colombia's passenger-rights rules. That's separate from a voluntary change, and our delays guide covers it in full.
Change and cancellation conditions depend on your GO fare and how the ticket was issued. We never publish amounts because yours is specific to your ticket, an agent quotes the exact figure, and our service fee, before anything is charged. You can always do it yourself free at wingo.com.
Wingo GO fares and how they change
The fare you bought decides whether a change is free, paid, or impossible.
There is no 24-hour safety net on Wingo. Most airlines let you undo a booking within 24 hours; Wingo does not, because its fares are promotional and non-refundable. So there's no room to book first and think later, decide before you pay. If you may need to move the trip, price GO Standard or Extra for the flexibility, and call us before you commit.
