About JetBlue
A quick profile of the carrier.
Founded in 1998 and flying its first flight in 2000, JetBlue is a New York–based low-cost carrier that built its name on service rather than bare-bones travel. It's known for free Wi-Fi, seat-back screens and some of the most generous legroom in core Economy, and it flies across the US, the Caribbean, Latin America and select transatlantic routes. JetBlue is not part of a global airline alliance; it runs the TrueBlue loyalty program, whose points don't expire.
Hubs & route network
Where the airline is based and where it flies.
JetBlue organizes its network around focus cities rather than traditional connecting hubs. Your JetBlue trip most likely touches one of these:
New York (JFK) is JetBlue's largest and primary focus city, with Boston and Fort Lauderdale close behind — many JetBlue itineraries begin, end or connect at one of them, and a lot of the network is point-to-point rather than routed through a single mega-hub.

Fares & cabins — what's included
JetBlue's branded fares, from the lowest up. Exact inclusions vary by route and aircraft.
Not sure which fare fits your trip and budget? An agent can compare them for you on the call.

Tell an agent your dates and we'll find the right option — plus phone-only fares across 500+ airlines.
Baggage — the essentials
General guidance. Your exact allowance depends on your fare, route and TrueBlue Mosaic status.
Most fares include a carry-on plus a personal item. Blue Basic can be more restrictive on the carry-on depending on route — always confirm for yours.
Charged by count and weight on most fares; Blue Plus builds a checked bag into the fare, and Mint and Mosaic status can include or waive bag charges.
Cheaper added in advance than at the airport. Sports gear, instruments and special items usually need advance arrangement.
We can confirm your exact allowance and pre-pay bags for you — just call.
Check-in & boarding
How to be ready on the day.
JetBlue online check-in on jetblue.com and the JetBlue app generally opens 24 hours before departure and closes shortly before the flight. Airport bag-drop and boarding cutoffs vary by airport and by domestic vs. international — arrive earlier for international departures.
Boarding is done in groups; Mint, Mosaic members and Blue Extra board earlier, and Blue Basic boards last.
TrueBlue loyalty program
The airline's frequent-flyer program.
TrueBlue lets you earn and redeem points on JetBlue for flights and more — and TrueBlue points don't expire. Points are typically redeemable for any available seat with no blackout dates, and higher Mosaic status unlocks perks like free checked bags, priority boarding and waived change fees on eligible fares. If you have a TrueBlue number, give it to us when booking and we'll add it to your reservation.
