Frontier sells a base fare you build on with bundles. Exact inclusions vary by route and fare — here's the general shape.

Base fare (no bundle)

The lowest, unbundled fare. Your seat comes with it, but carry-on, checked bags, seat selection and priority are all added separately. Best only if you travel light and price is all that matters.

Economy bundle

Rolls the common extras — a carry-on and checked bag plus seat selection — into one price, usually cheaper than buying each à la carte.

Premium bundle

Adds more on top: a Premium (extra-legroom "Stretch") seat, bags and priority services included in the fare.

Business bundle

Frontier's top bundle — an UpFront Plus seat (a front-row seat with the middle kept empty), checked bags, priority and the fullest set of included extras.

Baggage — the essentials

As an ultra-low-cost carrier, Frontier prices most bags separately. Your allowance depends on your fare or bundle — here's how it generally works.

Personal item:

A personal item that fits under the seat is included on Frontier fares. Always confirm the size limit, since it's enforced at the gate.

Carry-on and checked bags:

On the base fare, a carry-on and checked bags are paid extras. Bundles include bags — the higher the bundle, the more is rolled in. Adding bags in advance online is cheaper than at the airport.

Overweight / oversize / special items:

Sports gear, instruments and oversize items follow specific size and weight rules and cost more — arrange and pay for them ahead of time rather than at the gate.

How to be ready on the day.

Frontier online check-in on flyfrontier.com and the Frontier app generally opens 24 hours before departure and closes shortly before the flight. Checking in through the app or website — and adding any bags there — is both cheaper and faster than doing it at the airport counter.

Frontier boards by group, and adding a carry-on, a seat or a bundle earlier can affect your boarding and overhead-bin space. Arrive early, especially for the first flights of the day and for international departures to Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean.

Frontier's "New Frontier" pricing removed change and cancel fees on most fares, and a cancelled fare typically becomes a Frontier credit; the US 24-hour rule also applies.
