About Frontier Airlines

A quick profile of the carrier.

Founded in 1994 and based in Denver, Frontier Airlines is an ultra-low-cost carrier that flies around 120 destinations across the United States, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. Its model is a low base fare that you build on with bundles — Economy, Premium and Business — so you pay for the extras you actually want. Frontier isn't part of a global alliance; it runs the Frontier Miles loyalty program with Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond elite tiers. Frontier's support is handled online and by chat through flyfrontier.com and the Frontier app rather than a general reservations phone line.

Hubs & route network

Where the airline is based and where it flies.

Frontier is built around one big hub in Denver, with crew and operating bases feeding a point-to-point network. Your Frontier trip most likely touches one of these:

DEN

MCO
Orlando

LAS

ATL

PHL

Denver (DEN) is Frontier's home and largest connecting point, but as an ultra-low-cost carrier much of Frontier's network is point-to-point between leisure cities — so many itineraries are nonstop rather than routed through a single hub.

Fares & cabins — what's included

Frontier sells a base fare you build on with bundles. Exact inclusions vary by route and fare — here's the general shape.

Base fare (no bundle)
The lowest, unbundled fare. Your seat comes with it, but carry-on, checked bags, seat selection and priority are all added separately. Best only if you travel light and price is all that matters.
Economy bundle
Rolls the common extras — a carry-on and checked bag plus seat selection — into one price, usually cheaper than buying each à la carte.
Premium bundle
Adds more on top: a Premium (extra-legroom "Stretch") seat, bags and priority services included in the fare.
Business bundle
Frontier's top bundle — an UpFront Plus seat (a front-row seat with the middle kept empty), checked bags, priority and the fullest set of included extras.

Not sure which fare fits your trip and budget? An agent can compare them for you on the call.

Baggage — the essentials

As an ultra-low-cost carrier, Frontier prices most bags separately. Your allowance depends on your fare or bundle — here's how it generally works.

Personal item:

A personal item that fits under the seat is included on Frontier fares. Always confirm the size limit, since it's enforced at the gate.

Carry-on and checked bags:

On the base fare, a carry-on and checked bags are paid extras. Bundles include bags — the higher the bundle, the more is rolled in. Adding bags in advance online is cheaper than at the airport.

Overweight / oversize / special items:

Sports gear, instruments and oversize items follow specific size and weight rules and cost more — arrange and pay for them ahead of time rather than at the gate.

We can confirm your exact allowance and pre-pay bags for you — just call.

Check-in & boarding

How to be ready on the day.

Frontier online check-in on flyfrontier.com and the Frontier app generally opens 24 hours before departure and closes shortly before the flight. Checking in through the app or website — and adding any bags there — is both cheaper and faster than doing it at the airport counter.

Frontier boards by group, and adding a carry-on, a seat or a bundle earlier can affect your boarding and overhead-bin space. Arrive early, especially for the first flights of the day and for international departures to Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean.

Frontier Miles loyalty program

The airline's frequent-flyer program.

Frontier Miles lets you earn and redeem miles on Frontier flights, and its elite tiers — Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond — unlock perks like included bags, seat selection and priority as you fly more. If you have a Frontier Miles number, give it to us when booking and we'll add it to your reservation so you earn on the trip. Because Frontier has no general reservations phone line, its own account and program help is handled online at flyfrontier.com and in the app.

Frontier Airlines: frequently asked

Quick answers — call us for anything specific to your booking.

How do I change or cancel my Frontier flight?+
Frontier's "New Frontier" pricing removed change and cancel fees on most fares, and a cancelled fare typically becomes a Frontier credit; the US 24-hour rule also applies. Exact rules depend on your fare. Have your confirmation code ready and call us, or manage it yourself online at flyfrontier.com or in the Frontier app.
Does Frontier have a customer service phone number?+
Frontier does not offer a general reservations phone line — its own support is handled online and by chat through flyfrontier.com and the Frontier app. That's exactly why many travelers prefer to call a live BargainAirTicket agent instead, who can handle it by phone for a service fee quoted up front.
What do Frontier's bundles include?+
Frontier starts from a low base fare and adds Economy, Premium and Business bundles that roll in seats, bags and priority — more the higher you go, with Business including an UpFront Plus seat and checked bags. Tell us your trip and we'll help you pick the bundle that actually saves you money.
What is Frontier Miles and how do the tiers work?+
Frontier Miles is Frontier's loyalty program, with Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond elite tiers that unlock perks like bags, seats and priority. Give us your Frontier Miles number when booking and we'll add it so you earn on the trip.
